You're calling me a liar? You're questioning MY design? You? You, who codes in the cold vacuum of outer-space. You, you are the wrench thrown into the gears of otherwise successful projects. You, who if he isn't plagiarizing other people's work is busily reinventing the wheel again and again for problems that have been solved for years. You're a walking anti-pattern at every level: process, project, design, and code. When you suggest something, the opposite should be done. When you object to an idea, it should be shipped as soon as heavenly possible.

Yeah his was a little mean but we all say things mean every so often :)
Ryan,
I'm all for spirited developer arguments, but this bothers me enough to point it out:

Is almost word-for-word the same feature. You have commented, not with your scathing, condescending wit but instead you were quite polite about it.
trans has his own set of issues, but demoralizing people is something you're very effective at; it'd just be nice if you were more consistent about it.
Maybe, just maybe, you could realize the influence you wield is severely corrupted by your nature to pick sides not based on the facts, but the people presenting the facts.
I think you're a smart guy, but it's completely flown over your head that you're shutting out a lot of quality people just by running your mouth.
