Ruby Course - Interested in Reviewing?

| | Comments (9)

In the fall I'm going to be teaching the ruby course I hinted at in my last blog post. I've pretty much finalized the curriculum's syllabus, and am starting in on each day's slides now. I plan on releasing the slides under creative commons or some-such, but can't do so until afterwards. However, I would like to get a small (5ish?) private group of people who would be interested in reviewing the slides ahead of time. They'll be in PDF form to make life easier. I'm guessing you'll spend roughly 5 minutes to my 60.

Anybody interested? If so, leave a comment here. If I know you and your background, great. If not, please drop a 3-5 sentence description telling me who you are and your background.

I'm interested, Ryan. I'm not sure whether you 'know' of me, but you can get an idea from my blog if you don't or I can send you an email with further details if you prefer. :)

Hi Ryan.

I'm basically a junior Ruby and Rails developer at a smallish company in Romania. I'm rather new to Ruby with a more than decent background in C# and most things .NET. I also have small experience teaching younger students language and programming basics.

I'd love to help you out with your slides :)

I'd love to review it. I am a rails programmer based in Israel. I have been working with Ruby and Rails for the past 1.5 years. I am involved in preparing an intro course for web programming with rails.

Jonathan Gross.

If I can help I will.

For my background check my blog, particularly: http://talklikeaduck.denhaven2.com/articles/2006/07/29/about-me

Ping me if you need help.

I'm novice in Ruby. I guess your target group is person like me. If I can understand, most people should.

I'd be happy to help, as well. I just gave my first 2-day Ruby course about a month ago. Check out my blog for more about me. Cheers and good luck.

Hey Ryan,

I would be interested in looking over the slides as well. I have been doing Ruby/Rails for over a year now and can definately contribute to your cause. Let me know if you need something.

I would be interested in helping review. Too long have I endured having to show my slides to you in NYC.rb, now I shall have my revenge... okay, probably not the best way to sell my services.
