I'll be in NYC for the 26th! I'm flying out to meet the fabulous Ms. Amy Hoy to interview at Limewire. I'll be missing the Seattle.rb meeting, but going to my first NYC.rb meeting!
While I'm in the city I hope to hang out with some of the NYC.rb crew, have some arepas, and generally have a good time. What else should I do? I get in way too early.
Hmmm...where are you staying? I believe the Lime folks are down on Broadway and you mention arepas, so a recommendation for Ruben's Empanadas (West Broadway at Broome) might be in order. Pho Na Trang (Baxter, just below Canal) is another good, cheap, close option -- pho ga and an order of crispy squid makes much happiness.
I've been pretty Brooklyn focused for the last few years, but I may be able to come up with some other thoughts. Possibly even some that don't involve food. You can also drop me a note (whitney, absono.us) if that's helpful.
